Ascending Slow Dance signing Saint Jude contemplates isolation on his atmospheric new single 'Altitude'. Taken from his forthcoming EP, which features previous List Pick 'Keep The Light Inside The House' and title track 'Bodies of Water', 'Altitude' expands on the hazy sound we've come to love from the London-based songwriter. Despite being written a number of years ago, 'Altitude' captures the widespread isolation of lockdown, describing tidal wave of emotion that can become overwhelming at times. He explains: "a lot of my friends had left London (at the time), I had come out of a relationship and it seemed like I had lost a bit of the sense of community that I had for the few years before that." Sonically occupying a blissed-out space between indie-rock, shoegaze, trip-hop and electronica, listening to altitude feels like waking up from a deep and satisfying sleep. -Holly Mullineaux
